Information - Cruise Port Leith

Port of Leith -- Leith is the largest enclosed deepwater port in Scotland. Leith is located in the north of Edinburgh Scotland. It's an historic port that's been restored and now features numerous pubs and restaurants on the waterfront.

The most famous of Leith's local attractions is the Royal Yacht Britannia. At the Royal Yacht four Royal couples spent their honeymoon including Prince Charles and Princess Diana.

Edinburgh - Leith Cruise Terminal

The cruise line terminal of Leith is located at Leith Western Harbour, 3 miles from Edinburgh city centre in Scotland.

The terminal building is opened in 2006 and is located next to the Royal Yacht Britannia and Ocean Terminal Shopping Mall. Situated 15 minutes via public transport from Edinburgh city centre.

Opposite the cruise terminal is the Ocean Terminal retail and leisure complex. The Ocean Terminal is a large shopping centre built on former industrial docklands.

How to get to Leith - Edinburgh

By Car :

From the M8 (Heading North) continue North on the M8. At Hermiston Junction, take the first exit onto the A720 ramp, then merge onto the A720. At the roundabout, take the third exit onto the A8 ramp to Leith/Edinburgh West and North, merge onto the A8/Glasgow Road. Take a slight left on Glasgow Road. Then turn left at A902/Maybury Road and go through one roundabout. Take a slight right on the A90/Queens Ferry Road and continue to follow the A90. Turn left at A902/Telford Road. At Crewe Toll, take the third exit onto the A902/Ferry Road.  Continue to follow the A902 and then turn left at A901/North Junction Street. Continue to follow the A901. The A901 turns slightly right and becomes Ocean Drive. Go through one roundabout. At the next roundabout, take the second exit and stay on Ocean Drive. The cruise line terminal of Leith will be on your left.

By Bus :

Leith is connected to the city by several bus services operated by Lothian Buses, the local operator.

By Train :

The nearest train to the cruise terminal is Edinburgh Waverley Station. The railway station is a short taxi ride away from the Ocean Cruise Terminal.

By Air :

Edinburgh Airport : Leith is a 30 minute taxi ride from Edinburgh Airport.
